Ways to Increase Profits
Using the Internet and the
Asian-Am Marketplace Directory

There are two ways that a client can increase profits:

1. Decrease expenses:

   • The web is a CHEAP alternate to traditional means of advertising. Clients can offer coupons through the Net, which the customers can print out on their printers at home, thus saving the client printing expenses.

   • The Internet is an extremely CHEAP way for clients to advertise compared to other advertising mediums such as newspapers, radio and TV (see Comparison of Advertising Rates). The majority of traditional ads -- i.e. flyers, inserts in newspapers, TV ads, etc. -- are distributed or shown to everyone, in the HOPES of reaching the target audience. The Internet, however, works in reverse: the customers are looking for, and want to find, your business, product, and/or services on the Web. Only INTERESTED customers visit your page, so the Internet is a powerful way to reach a huge target audience who is, in fact, looking for the client.

   • Email saves the client money since it is costs less than an 800 toll-free phone number.

2. Increase sales:

   • Time is money for both the client and the customers. Customers hate to call a business for information, and then be transfered three times and/or put on hold for half an hour. By offering an email address, the client improves customer service, since the customer can write any questions they have via email thus avoid being on hold for a long time.

   • Salespeople minimize the time they spend with each customer and thus serve more customers in the same amount of time since customers can do their preliminary product/service research via the web page.

   • Offer 24-Hour Service. Advertising on the Net allows clients to stay "open" round the clock, thus increasing their potential sales and customer base even after regular business hours.

   • Referral Service. If a customer is pleased with the dentist s/he finds on the AAM Directory, you can be sure that the customer will "bookmark" the AAM Page and return to our directory to try the other services.

   • Reach a wider prospective customer base which can lead to greater sales. The Web allows clients to expand their market to reach other cities, other states, and even other countries. This is excellent opportunity for clients who offer mail order service.
